Neighbourhood Futures Group

The Futures Panel was established by Woburn Sands TC as a way of involving local residents in the SEMK development.
In particular they wish to ensure that the South East MK development complemented the existing facilities in Woburn Sands (along with Wavendon and Bow Brickhill) and that, in addition to providing an attractive destination for new residents, that the development should enhance the lives of existing residents.
An open meeting to discuss the establishment of the Panel was held in March 23 and it attracted an attendance of over 70 residents. A number of these have agreed to serve on the panel and an initial meeting was held last month.
They will be holding their second meeting Tuesday 16 May 23 and would welcome a representative from Bow Brickhill. The primary matter under discussion will be the provision of medical facilities in SEMK.
Please contact clerk@bowbrickhill-pc.gov.uk if you are interested in attending.

BECOME A COUNCIL MEMBER

Bow Brickhill Parish Council are looking for an enthusiastic person to join them in the management of Parish affairs. There are important issues facing the Parish Council and you can help shape the outcome by giving up just a little of your time. We meet eleven times a year plus some ad hoc meetings to decide financial matters and planning applications and a whole range of local issues.

If you care about our village and want to have a say in running it, this is your opportunity to get involved. We have responsibility for the finances, Pavilion and influencing planning in Bow Brickhill. Traffic and transport issues also feature in our discussions and we are able to act as a pressure group with Milton Keynes City Council.

Please don’t leave it to somebody else to get involved – you can make the difference if you join us.
