BECOME A COUNCIL MEMBER

Bow Brickhill Parish Council are looking for an enthusiastic person to join them in the management of Parish affairs.  There are important issues facing the Parish Council and you can help shape the outcome by giving up just a little of your time.  We meet nine times a year plus some ad hoc meeting to decide financial matters and planning applications along with a whole range of local issues.

If you care about your village and want to have a say in running it, this is your opportunity to get involved.  We have a responsibility for the finances, Pavilion, and influence planning in Bow Brickhill.  Traffic and transport issues also feature in our discussions, and we are able to act as a pressure group with Milton Keynes City Council.

Please don’t leave it to somebody else to get involved- you can make the difference if you join us.

Further details are available from the Parish Clerk at clerk@bowbrickhill-pc.gov.uk

Resignation of Chairman Julian Price

Bow Brickhill Parish Council (BBPC) would like to acknowledge the significant role played by Julian Price as a council member and more recently as Chair of BBPC. His dedicated commitment to the village through BBPC has seen the Speed Watch group set up as well as making sure we challenge MKCC, developers, and East West Rail, so they hear our views. Julian has also helped work in liaison with neighbouring groups in Woburn Sands and Little Brickhill to ensure the village voice is heard.

Julian’s 9 years on the PC of which five have been Chair are very much appreciated and his warm welcome and efforts in this voluntary role will be much missed. On his leaving the Parish Council in February, we were pleased to present Julian with a small token of appreciation.
